Winter has been so hard. There have been so many hurdles to overcome due to the cold weather coming so soon after we moved in last August. It went from a really hot end of summer to shocking cold. The other day we had snow showers. I'm talking Northern California, for pete's sake!
Circumstances are challenging and things are going really slooow.
I want this year to be about focused creating, but it's only the 7th of January and I just can't find the necessary energy yet for painting. I have done so much organizing, which makes my brain calmer, and able to find papers I need. I have so much to do, but that's always the case. Up to now, all attempts were directed toward staying warm. I do not fair well in cold weather...I can't even think properly. Taking pics of fog, moss, old trees and winter berries and blooms helps me to appreciate the season. It's all very pretty if I look at it from inside the house. I never realized how cold puts me in a bad, bad mood, just like heat does to a lot of people. On the upside, a lot less bugs and spiders! :)
